“Why I grew up hating my mum” — Actress, Dorcas Shola-Fapson (video)

Dorcas Shola-Fapson, a Nollywood actress and disc jockey, has revealed why she grew up despising her mother.

Dorcas mentioned this in a recent “Tea with Taymesan” podcast interview.

Her parents relocated to the UK after getting married, but she claims they didn’t have the necessary immigration papers.

Her mother was deported back to Nigeria when she was two years old for not having immigration paperwork, she claimed, but her father was able to sort himself out.

Dorcas revealed that her father claimed her mother abandoned her in the UK because she doesn’t love her, which was the source of her short-lived anger for her mother.

This, she claims, caused her to grow up hating her mother since she believed she was never loved by her. She did say, though, that now that she is older, she has a greater understanding of her family’s situation.

Dorcas explained that her father lied about why her mother left them in the UK because “he was hurt.”
