Alfa AlBaarizy, a Nigerian Islamic cleric, chastised famous artist Wizkid for making religious declarations at a religious gathering.
In a recent interview, Wizkid revealed that he grew up in a home where he witnessed two religions, explaining that his mother is a Christian and his father is a Muslim, but neither of them forced their religion on the children.
Wizkid’s Snapchat statement, in which he declared that he does not believe in religion, prompted the preacher to respond.
Such statements, according to the Ilorin-based priest, only appear when people have money and their reasoning ability is interfered with.
According to Alfa AlBaarizy, there is religion, contrary to what Wiz said. He also warned members of the congregation to be wary of the people they revere.
The artist must choose between being a Christian or a Muslim, according to the Ustaz, and ignoring religion is not an option.
