Online, a woman from Nigeria shared her story of overcoming obstacles while living abroad in America. The nurse shared old images of her final moments in Nigeria and shared how she never imagined leaving her family behind. The Nigerian woman gave her parents a home after finding great success overseas.

A Nigerian woman who moved to America a few years ago described her experience there in a TikTok video.

The woman, who goes by the handle @mylifeassugar_, said that she lived in Nigeria for two decades of her life. She had pictures of herself with her mother, father, and other family members before she left.

She struggled with boredom and loneliness in America. She enlisted in the military as a means of surviving. She decided to become a nurse in order to improve her opportunities in life.

She wrote;

“To all my immigrants, although it won’t be easy, with prayers, determination and hard work you can and will become all that you have dreamt of.”

“After a lifetime of hard work and sacrifice, I finally moved my parents into their dream home. Growing up, I never forgot the struggles we faced and I always knew that I wanted to do something special for my parents. Building them a house has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and to see it finally come to fruition is an indescribable feeling. I am so thankful to have been able to give back to my parents and provide them with the comfortable and happy life they deserve. This is a moment I will cherish forever”.
